Runaway and Homeless Youth Therapist  

Responsibilities include

  • Develop rapport and maintain engagement with youth who are experiencing homelessness or are near homelessness
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessment, develop treatment plans, and document client progress towards identified goals
  • Work with youth in a residential shelter-based setting and in the community
  • Develop and implement person-centered and time-matched goals
  • Assess and develop clinical inferences into client care utilizing various treatment modalities
  • Coordinate services and referrals
  • Collaborate, respond, and support youth in crisis situations demonstrating cultural sensitivity

Requirements include

  • Master’s degree in Social Work 
  • Limited license required with the State of Michigan, full license preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of at risk youth population-including precipitating factors of youth homelessness
  • Proven experience providing  clinical therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and basic need assistance to youth who are experiencing homelessness
  • Demonstrated ability to work within set production based goals for third party billing
  • Flexible schedule required

Social Work - Therapist   - School Based/Community  - Multiple Positions available

Full time MSW/MA to provide community based mental health services for children/families in schools and in home in targeted areas of Kent County.   

Responsibilities include individual and in-home family therapy, crisis response, case management and group services provided during the school day and afterschool.  Case loads may include outpatient, home-based services and case management services.  

 Experience working with children, adolescents and/or families, culturally diverse populations and third party billing procedures as well as working knowledge of school systems and community resources a plus.    State of Michigan licensure (LMSW, LLP or LPC) and CAADC Eligibility required.   Bilingual skills beneficial at some school sites but not required       Experience providing services in community, home, school setting highly beneficial.  Forward resume and cover letter to egaddis@arborcircle.org

 

 

Residential Direct Care - Bachelors Level  - Full  Time 3rd Shift 

Full Time 3rd shift position available at The Bridge.  a 24/7 short-term residential program serving youth.     Position includes crisis intervention, intake/assessment, counseling, groups and support. Therapist- Community Based Recovery

Masters level therapist needed for Community Based Recovery programs serving rural and urban populations.  Qualified candidates will possess a master’s degree in social work or related field and have proven experience providing service in the home/community working with substance using / co-occurring populations.   Current, or eligibility for, state license and CAADC / CAADC Development plan required.        Send cover letter and resume to  cworthem@arborcircle.org

 

Early Childhood Therapist  - Bilingual Spanish Speaking

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Masters Level therapist to provide in-home Infant Mental Health services to young children (ages 0-5 years old) and their families.  Masters degree in social work or related field and clinical experience working with young children and families required.  Experience with community based / in home work a plus.  MI-AIMH endorsed  or willing / able to work towards Mi-AIMH Infant Mental Health Level II Endorsement a must.     Send resume to Early Childhood Program Manager at  rfox@arborcircle.org

> Bridge RCC / Residential Direct Care - Bachelors Level  - Part time:  The Bridge a short-term residential program serving youth operates on 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift.   Position includes crisis intervention, intake/assessment, counseling, groups and support. Bachelor’s degree or near completion and prior experience working with the adolescent population and culturally diverse populations required. Qualified candidate will provide flexible schedule availability. Position will include weekend shifts.

>Masters Level Therapist:   We have a wide variety of masters level Therapist positions within our organization.  All masters level positions require a Masters Degree in Social Work or related field, many require full (non limited) licensure and / or other certification (ie CAADC).   If interested in providing Masters level therapy at Arbor Circle, please include information about your level of licensure, certifications and type of position (Community based/outpatient etc.) and populations you wish to work with (Young children, children, adolescents, Adults, Women, Men, SUD diagnosis etc).
