Program Administrative Support - Youth Services

Team Lead - Childrens Community Based Behavioral Health Program

Full time MSW/ MA Team Lead position available in Child & Family focused Community based therapy / Case Management program.     Responsibilities include in-home family therapy, crisis response, case management, group services and supervision of staff.  This position is approximately ½ time clinical and ½ time supervision.    

Knowledge of children’s Mental Health, prior in-home work experience, and experience working with culturally diverse populations a must.  Full state license eligible and previous supervision experience strongly preferred.  Position requires some after hours / on call work.    Bilingual (Spanish) / Bi-cultural persons encouraged to apply.

Child Welfare Foster Home Licensor – Muskegon County

Foster Home Licensor to license foster homes in Muskegon and surrounding counties for children involved in the child abuse and neglect system.  Primary responsibilities include: Respond to inquiries, conduct initial home assessments, provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of homes and conduct special investigations.  Ability to think creatively in the best interests of children while participating in the placement process is critical.  Bachelor’s degree in Social work or related field. Runaway and Homeless Youth Therapist – Full time Masters Level

Responsibilities include

  • Develop rapport and maintain engagement with youth who are experiencing homelessness or are near homelessness
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessment, develop treatment plans, and document client progress towards identified goals
  • Work with youth in a residential shelter-based setting and in the community
  • Develop and implement person-centered and time-matched goals
  • Assess and develop clinical inferences into client care utilizing various treatment modalities
  • Coordinate services and referrals
  • Collaborate, respond, and support youth in crisis situations demonstrating cultural sensitivity

Requirements include

  • Master’s degree in Social Work 
  • Limited license required with the State of Michigan, full license strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of at risk youth population-including precipitating factors of youth homelessness
  • Proven experience providing  clinical therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and basic need assistance to youth who are experiencing homelessness
  • Demonstrated ability to work within set production based goals for third party billing
  • Flexible schedule required

 Peer Recovery Specialist – Substance Use Services

Full time position providing community based peer support to assist clients in achieving sustained recovery from a substance use disorder.    

Primary role of the Peer Recovery specialist is to serve as a role model through face-to-face meetings, to provide ongoing support in a community setting, case management and consultation.  Peer Recovery specialist will use their own history with and knowledge of Substance Use and Co-occurring mental health recovery to assist clients in engagement with treatment. 

Position Requirements:

  • Previous life experience with substance use
  • Proven ability to address the recovery needs of individuals
  • Proven ability to share personal recovery journey in a support way, even if recovery path is different from that of the client
  • Valid Driver’s License & auto insurance and acceptable driving history
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent   
  • Current certification as a Peer Recovery Coach or ability to pursue the certification

Project Coordinator - LGBT Runaway and homeless youth

32 Hour/week full-time position requiring the ability to engage, convene, and facilitate community members and systems in strategic planning efforts related to LGBT subgroups of runway and homeless youth.  Ability and desire to work in a team-driven, strengths-based, creative problem-solving process.  Cultural competence, knowledge of community resources, time management skills, and experience leading teams/groups required.  Strong communication skills both written and verbal required.  Prior grant writing and experience leading groups in Human Centered Design methodology strongly recommended.  Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work, or equivalent.  Master’s degree preferred.  Diverse and bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.  Some evening hours required. Current funding for this position is anticipated to be available for two years.   Send Resume and cover letter to jcnossen@arborcircle.org

 

Child Welfare Case Aide - Part-time/variable hours– Muskegon & Ottawa Counties
Position requires late afternoon / early evening hours & some weekend hours

Child Welfare Case Aide position provides support to Foster Care Caseworkers in Muskegon and Ottawa Counties. Position responsibilities include  transport of children and parents, supervising family visits and some documentation. Position requires High school diploma, valid Michigan Driver's license and clean driving record required.  Bachelor’s degree and / or experience in social work or related field strongly preferred.

> Bridge RCC / Residential Direct Care - Bachelors Level  - Part time:  The Bridge a short-term residential program serving youth operates on 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift.   Position includes crisis intervention, intake/assessment, counseling, groups and support. Bachelor’s degree or near completion and prior experience working with the adolescent population and culturally diverse populations required. Qualified candidate will provide flexible schedule availability. Position will include weekend shifts.
