Pathways of Arbor Circle

In October 2016, Pathways, MI merged with and into Arbor Circle, becoming a program of Arbor Circle. This expansions extends our services to 11 counties in West Michigan, serving nearly 22,000 clients annually.

Below is an overview of the services Pathways offers:

Child Welfare

  • Foster Care

Foster Care provides a temporary, nurturing home for children who are in the child welfare system due to abuse or neglect.  The goal is to reunite the child with his or her biological family in a timely manner, or to make another permanent plan, such as adoption.

  • Adoption

If a child in foster care is unable to return to his or her biological parents, our adoption team works to place the child into a loving, permanent home.

  • Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers work to help provide children in foster care with a safe, permanent home. CASA volunteers advocate for the children throughout the entire court process and report to the judges as to what is best for the children involved. Our team works to recruit, train and support CASA volunteers in Ottawa County.

Great Start to Quality

Great Start to Quality is Michigan’s quality rating and improvement system for child care providers and preschool programs. Providers complete a Self-Assessment Survey, which assigns them a rating based on a 5-Star system. Great Start then provides technical assistance, resources and support to help programs improve. Great Start also helps parents find quality childcare programs. Learn More.
